INICIOS
Empezamos
a construir nuestra aldea en 1982 despues de diez años
de vivir como nómadas viajando por todo el mundo. Algunos
formabamos parte de El Teatro Itinerante
Gitano Los Elefantes Iluminados. Otros veniamos
de grupos de jóvenes activistas de varios paises.
En aquel entonces
vivíamos en camiones y camionetas convertidos en casas,
oficina, cocina y estudios para los 30 miembros de nuestra pequeña
pero poderosa tribu. Otros viviamos en casas rentadas en la Ciudad
de México y mas alla. Hoy dia todavia practicamos un nomadismo
moderado y algunos de nuestros miembros dirigen una caravana por toda
Sur América que viajará varios años por ese continente.

Otros miembros viajan a diferentes
partes del planeta llevando sus espectáculos a públicos
de estudiantes y adultos, tocando música original y tradicional
de Latinoamerica y el Caribe http://www.siriuscoyote.org Algunos han decidido
trabajar con sus creaciones artísticas como el teatrl,
la escritura, la poesía, la curación, la pintura,
la fotografía, el cine, el video, la agricultura, el comercio
y la arquitectura tanto en nuestra base en las montañas de
Tepoztlán, estado de Morelos, México como en otros lugares
alrededor del globo.
BEGINIGS
We started working on our village in 1982 after ten
years of living as nomads traveling all over the world. Some of
us were members of The
Illuminated Elephants Traveling Gypsy Theatre. Others came from activists youth groups from various countries.
Back then we lived in converted buses and vans which served
as homes, offices, kitchen and studio spaces for the 30 members
of our small but powerful tribe. Others came together from their
residencies in Mexico City and beyhond.
Today we still practice a scaled
down version of nomadism and at present some of our members are
leading amulti- year caravan throughout Latin America. http://www.lacaravana.org
Other members travel to different parts of the world
taking their performances to schools and adult audiences playing
original and traditional music from Latin America and the Caribbean

choose to work on their artistic creations as writers, poets, painters,
healers, photographers, film makers, videographers, gardeners, merchants
and architects in our home base in the mountains of Tepoztlan in
the state of Morelos, Mexico and in other places around the globe.
